This week I’m back after a few weeks break from the business and my blog. I haven’t been able to give as much time as I wanted to due to various priorities I currently have. There are several things that are incredibly important to me and they are in no particular order; my family, my job, my health, my business and my religion. These are the main things that I work on, on a daily basis to improve as a person and to build the life that I want.
For the last few weeks, I prioritised my family and my job as there was a lot to deal with. It was just a matter of prioritising and giving more time here so something had to give. I will never compromise my family because they are the most important thing in the world beyond anything and I can’t compromise on my job because it’s new and it pays the bills. So, unfortunately the business took the hit.
At first I felt very guilty and anxious that’ what will happen’? ‘things will fall apart’! How’s the business going to grow If I don’t work on it but in fact. I was surprised to see that my videos still had views and I still got new followers on TikTok, my Quora posts are still being read and upvoted. I’m still getting comments from messages on Instagram and TikTok and my Facebook lead ad is performing well. I’ve now got 151 people who signed up for my e-book and have joined my email list.
This just goes to prove that once you plant some seeds and you set some groundwork and some foundations they start to take on their own life and they grow and they propagate and organically things carry on. So, if you feel like you need to take a break or you need some time away from the business or you have some priorities for work or family, it’s okay. Do it, it’s important however, you will find that it will carry on without you until you’re back to enhance it to the next level again.
In fact, something else happened that was really amazing but pretty much blew my mind. After this delay of a few weeks I went back into the affiliate system and the Internet profit partners hub and just did a review of the stats and numbers. I noticed that in my tracking Stats there was one optin.
What does that mean? I hear you ask. In my content and blogs I am promoting the iceberg effect book which is written by my mentor Dean Holland, it’s a free book. You only have to pay postage for a physical copy to be sent to you anywhere in the world? As a bonus you receive an audio version of the book, access to a masterclass with Dean and seven days of email insights directly from Dean.
This optin meant that somebody had clicked my link and ordered the book. That then triggers a sale for me for which I receive a small commission. It also means that that person has entered the sales funnel and is offered up sells, webinar courses etc. that will further help them become an affiliate marketer, providing them what they need to build their own business.
So this person also upgraded to one of the small courses that Dean offers and therefore I received another further commission.
What that means is that I have made my first sales and commission as an affiliate marketer in a business that I built, where I create the content, targeted the right traffic and made offers that provide value to my audience so that they can build a lifestyle that they want by creating a ‘make money online’ business.
As a teaser for you, I am now learning to do the same BUT in ANY Niche! How exciting is that. Email me if you are interested in learning about that.
This is huge, it’s actually monumental because of what it means. Even though I’ve spent money on advertising and it’s only one sale and the commission is low, the fact is it works. The key is Dean’s system on how to build a business where we are concentrated on the four core areas of focus?
Traffic
Capture
Follow-up
Offers
You can learn about these in the Iceberg Effect Book. (Yes this is my affiliate link).
Through Dean‘s mentorship, the training I went through and the self learning I have done, I’ve built a business where I’ve learnt and practiced how to be an affiliate marketer and the fact that it worked means that it can happen again. In fact, it will happen again. Now that it’s working it becomes a numbers game and the more people that join my list the higher chance there is of somebody buying a product that I am promoting.
But this isn’t just about numbers, that’s just the mechanics in the background. What this is actually about is that I’m connecting with people that want to build an online business as an affiliate marketer and by reading my e-book and watching my TikTok videos and reading my blogs they are connecting with me and learning from me. I’m adding value to them because I have done what they want to do. That relationship is incredibly important because it’s based on helping people and getting to know them, building relationships for building trust. My audience are so important that I am planning some amazing things that many others don’t do for their audience. I’m not going to talk about that now or maybe in the future blog when I’m ready. Only my audience will benefit from this so sign up to my FREE email newsletter to be the first to find out.
So, that’s what’s been going on and I hope it gives you the encouragement that it is possible and it shows you that I know what I’m doing and that I’m learning from the best and that the methodology and software and systems work so. In effect the first sausage has been produced from the sausage machine.
There’s two sides of the business that have to be worked on equally. One is the mechanics the numbers for consistency of content creation, the Facebook lead ads, statistics and the numbers game. The second is the relationship with your audience and make no mistake. This cannot be compromised and is definitely not a numbers game. This is building a relationship and what you’re doing is creating solutions/advice/training for people that need help because of something that you do or know. They are your clients or students. You’re like a teacher and they’re like your class. This is a relationship that has to be nurtured has to be genuine and you really need to care because if you don’t care and you’re just after money, none of this will work.
It’s like the business has gone up a gear and I need to now plan what my next steps are. I need to go back and rethink and review all elements of the business and enhance them increase them build them up do more of the things that work.
So, I’ll tell you all about that in my next blog. Hey Atif,
Congratulations again! I hope more wins keep coming for you. You deserve it because of all of your hard efforts. You are a motivation for many others.
Agreed. We have to keep building that relationship with our audience and providing them with value. In the long run, that will help us create more wins for everyone.
Hi Atif,
Great news on your first sale, congratulations!
It’s so important to prioritize your family over work, there’s nothing wrong with that.
I am the same way. I have lost a couple of jobs in the past years because of this and always trusted it would work out in whatever way it needed to as long as my priorities were right and I didn’t give up. It just doesn’t always look the way I might think it should as the process plays out. It looks like you’re doing well with subscribers as well! Even though you haven’t been able to make as much time for your business it seems there’s been growth, no matter the size, its growth! All the best as you continue onward!

Hi Atif – Lots and lots of YAY! I was not only pleased and excited to see that you are back on the blog but that you have started to see some success in your business. That’s the key, isn’t it? To be able to set your priorities straight while your business is working for you and that seems to have happened in this case. So excellent and so deserved! Thanks for continuing to stay true to yourself, true to your family, true to your job and true to this business. By managing all of these things helps the rest of us stay motivated and stay on path. Wow, what a great blog post to read today!
