I thought I would give you an update on what’s been going on not just this week but the last few weeks. Frankly it’s been a very busy but a productive time. In fact I am writing this at Heathrow Terminal 4 and continuing onboard the plane whilst flying, on my flight to Doha, Qatar, more on that later.
We planned a surprise party for my wife who has become a Head Teacher. She has always wanted to be a teacher since she was a child and now has achieved this great accomplishment. I’m so proud of her. I took her away for the weekend so that we were out of the way. The rest of the family, kids and teaching staff put our elaborate surprise party plan into action.
When we returned on Sunday I just drove into the school playground into a horse shoe shape of family, friends and colleagues. She was sooooo shocked, it was amazing. With all this going on I decided not to publish a blog so I could concentrate fully on the surprise. I did a speech which went down well as did her manager and her sister. Food was enjoyed and mingling with guest was the order of the day. She said “I don’t think this surprise can ever be improved on”. I’ll have to get my thinking cap on.
Continuing to work from home, well my Dads home. His health is not the best, dementia is progressing and he is becoming weaker and slower. He can’t stand or walk alone. He has trouble swallowing and now we have to purée his food. Unfortunately he has forgotten our names but he knows who we are. It’s sad but we know it’s not intentional. It’s heartbreaking seeing your parents degrade like this. I wish I could keep my parents in their prime but that’s is not a possibility. Allah knows best.
On the TikTok front, views are growing and I am now at 1,395 followers and 22.4k likes. Thank you all for being part of the journey. I lost a few followers then gained a few followers this week. I guess that’s just part of the journey. Soon I’ll be adding my first facebook lead ad to this to start another stream of subscribers and build my email list.
Email sequence
I have been trying to complete my email sequence for what feels like months. So many things got in the way. I saw a video from Dean’s training about doing tasks that add value to your business. We spend too much time on other things. Do things that directly contribute to your business growing. What will make it happen? do that.
If you don’t know what an email sequence is, it’s an automated set of emails that are set to be sent at fixed times and days over a period of time. This particular sequence is for my up upcoming facebook lead ad. When someone responds to my ad to get my free ebook which I wrote myself. It’s called ‘Mastering the 5 dos and 5 don’ts of affiliate marketing’. If you want a copy subscribe to my free email newsletter here and request one by replying to one of the email you get and I’ll directly send it to you. You will also get 2 free mini trainings from Dean when you sign up to the newsletter.
Do you struggle with affiliate marketing, what to do and how? What do all these terms mean etc. if so, I am here to shed light on them, just ask me by replying to any email after subscribing. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
So, I have 9 emails in my sequence. Each one has a different theme or topic. The aim of them are;
- Teach a skill/increase knowledge of the reader
- Tell a story or teach a lesson
- Allow them to get to know me, and me them when they reply
At this early stage they are not familiar with you so this sequence takes them on that journey. They get the ebook and I get them on my email list to build a relationship with them, like minded people.
I competed all 9, 4 were approved and the last 5 have small tweaks and changes to make. Like the subject lines need to be more punchy. There is too much text in some places, need to involve the reader in more. Better hooks and questions at the beginning they can identify with.
This is what I plan to work on in the evenings whilst in the hotel. I have given myself a week to completed the edits AND publish the facebook lead ad.
LinkTree got a chop
In the Q&A this week Dean reviewed our content. I asked him to look at my TikTok comments as they seem to have a lot of bot responses, like automated spam. Can’t really do much about that.
What he did notice was that my linkTree page which is a link in all my social media had too many options on them. They can be directed to my blog, my newsletter sign up, TikTok, instagram, YouTube, Quora and facebook! That is too much right? It’s confusing to the reader. So Dean suggested removing all except, the blog and newsletter because that where I want people to go.
So I did that, you can see the before and after here
Before
After
I’ll let you know what happens, if anything.
Skool, modules 3 and 4
You know all about Skool as I did a 2 part series on it. I’m, progressing well through the new training modules. I am on module 2 and modules 3 and 4 have been unlocked now so even more great content to learn. Also, I am pleased to report that I am on top of the leaderboard in Skool with around 320 points. You get points for each like of your content or comment. It shows high engagement within the group.
I hear that this training, community and online business in ANY niche will be going public sometime in the near future. Are you interested in that? Do you want to learn how to build an online business in any niche? Let me know in the comments if you want to be the first to know about it. Or email me directly.
I will only be telling people that have subscribed to my email newsletter as I know they are serious about creating a business and are ready to do something about it. Don’t miss an opportunity to change your life for the better.
Dean’s coaching partner event
We also had a 1/4ly internet profits partner event. It’s a half day thing on zoom. It consisted of 3 case studies i.e. Dean, Sophie and Glenn (our coaching team) telling their whole journey of how they discovered affiliate marketing, their struggles, first sales and business growth. All three are doing this full time so it does work. We then broke out in to rooms to discuss key learnings from each case study. Great session and an opportunity to meet fellow affiliate marketers.
New job
So, the biggest thing this week was starting my new contract with a client in Doha, Qatar. A great opportunity for me and I would dare say my dream job. I get to travel, work on amazing projects and help the client improve their processes.
I will be travelling frequently so I am writing this blog as we speak on the table of an A380 on its way to Qatar. It’s also a taste of the lifestyle I wish to build with the affiliate marketing business I am building. Being able to live like this on your own terms with your family when you want is extremely powerful.
Do you wish to create a life like that? Tell me about what you have tried and what you want to do?
So, that’s the busy week or two just gone. Being busy is good, it’s exciting but remember to concentrate on value added activities.
Next week I’ll start talking to you more about the affiliate system itself. I’ve been working with it for the last seven months and it’s truly amazing. I’m gonna start introducing it to you section by section. This is currently only available to Dean’s coaching certified partners. At the moment it is not available to the general public, but I hear this may change soon in the future like I said above. The beauty of this system is that it’s not just about affiliate marketing in the making money online but this system can help you build a business for you to make money online in any niche. It could be gardening, cooking, Health and fitness, relationships, DIY, travelling, cars, travel anything. Imagine that.
Please let me know in the comments any thoughts on what you’ve read here and what you think you’ve learnt and what you think you’ll start to do different. What will you stop doing now and what will you start doing? I’d love to hear from you, so please do leave comments below.
Thank you for reading, I hope it helped you in some way. You are only a few steps behind me!

You have so much going on Atif! Congratulations on the new job, on an amazing surprise for your wife, I love how you’re already thinking of how you can top it!!!
You are killing it and making so much progress!! Look forward to watching your journey!
Hello Atif, I am excited for you in all of your new adventures! Traveling is a great way to meet people in all walks of life! I’m sure you will meet new friends who will come to be friends for life!! You have so much to give and gain.
Those are some good goals for the email follow up. I think one of the most difficult things is to keep people’s attention by giving them information that interests them, but also building a connection with them, letting them get to know who we are. But that part is so important, because most of what we have to say they could probably get somewhere else, but the personal connection is what will actually keep them coming back.
Atif, Congratulations on your new job! I’m excited to hear how your first business trip goes. I’m so glad your wife was surprised at her party. That must have been such a special moment! I’m also looking forward to hearing how your first lead ad goes. I know you’ve been working so hard on that first email sequence. It is definitely a challenge! As I’m also working on mine, I think we’ll look back and remember this, right? I wonder what we will think? Right now, I’m so proud of myself as I face the challenge and overcome this hurdle. It’s a big one!
Enjoy the ocean!

Wow, you have been busy. Many congratulations on your new contract. I loved travelling on an A380 so I’m very envious, but good on you. I’m so sorry to hear about your father’s decline; it must be heartbreaking. But what a wonderful surprise for your wife. Congrats to her as well for becoming head teacher. What a difference in your link page! I guess simple is the best and hopefully with less options to choose from, you’ll have more subscribers getting on your list.
Atif, I hear ya on what you are going through with your Dad. I have a close friend whose mother’s days are numbered. The doc says her body is shutting down. She’s the same age as Bob Newhart when he passed. My friend goes to see her daily now as the time is near.
I think you will be pleasantly surprised while building a list of fans with the Facebook Lead ads. Are you targetting complete newbies to affiliate marketing or those with a bit of experience and not seeing much success?
And that’s a good idea to cut down on the number of options in the LinkTree. I think I will do that myself.
Congrats to both you and your wife on her promotion and your new job! I certainly have plans to do more travelling – but leisure – not for work lol.
What another eventful few weeks you’ve had! Congrats to your wife on becoming a Head Teacher! Also, it’s touching to hear about your time with your dad. It’s tough, but your love and care really shine through.
Your TikTok journey is impressive! I love following your journey.
Good luck with the new job in Doha; sounds like a dream come true! Looking forward to more updates on your affiliate marketing journey. Keep us posted!
Hey Atif! You can’t stop surprising me. Even with all that activities surrounding you, you still find the way to make progress in your business. It’s all at your advantage! Well done. When I say working on opportunities, you are a very good example of this. Writing your blog at the airport, in the stressful environment of a flight departure then completing in plane, taking all little free time slots to benefit your business, well, this is outstanding. This proves all the passion and dedication you may have. Good luck in your new functions.

Atif Safe journeys I can’t wait to see some of those lifestyle pictures! I’m glad your surprise party for your wife went so well, I know you had been planning it for a while. Keep up the Good Work!
As always, such a great blog post, Atif. Congrats on the “dream job” and doing something you love. I don’t know where and how you make the time to do all that you do. It’s pretty impressive that you’re doing it regularly and continuing to move forward every week. I so understand about your dad and what you’re going through. It’s so hard to watch them go from such wonderfully capable and independent people to a shell of the person they were. It’s heartwrenching! My thoughts are with you. It’s been a pleasure to watch your progress and determination.
Hi Atif,
I’m smiling, happy for the so many great emotions you and your family are going through relative to your wife’s successes, (again, congratulations to her!) your new dream job and everything that goes with it.
And on the other side, my smile disappears in thinking about what your father, and your family, is going through with the dementia he is living with.
The support of your family and what I believe to be your own strong faith will help you through these demanding times.
Wishing you all the best and looking forward to reading your next blog entry!
Atif,
Congratulations on your dream job. Regarding the surprise for your wife, that was a wonderful thing you did for her, and I am sure she will never forget that feeling. I am sorry to hear about your father. You are right when you said we want to keep our parents in their prime. Regarding Affiliate System, I like the fact that it can be geared towards any niche. I recently found my passion and am excited to see where it takes me.

Hi Atif – Wow, you have been extremely busy and have managed to stay afloat in the midst of all that has gone on in your life at this point. From caring for a loved ones, to celebrating career changes and successful ventures, to new jobs, to updating strategies and email sequences and linked trees, etc. How in the world do you do this, I have no idea, but I am so in awe of what you are able to accomplish. I guess you get to practice what you are doing in your new job by becoming efficient and making sure the process is followed in the most mutually beneficial manner. Nice job, my friend! I look forward to your continued success and I appreciate this post as it tells me that many things are possible if one does not give up and if one has the right attitude and mindset. Cheers!
Hi Atif,
Wow, so much going on there and it’s so exciting! Dealing with an elderly parent who has an illness is heartbreaking and challenging. It’s so amazing that you are taking the time to care for him. There’s too many folks that don’t make time to help aging parents. I commend you on that, it shows how much you love him!
Congrats on the new role and wonderful experience you are having. May there be many many more!! As I’ve said before, I think you’re doing an amazing job with everything!
All the best as you continue to succeed 👍
Atif,
Nice honest blog. Sound like you have alot going on in your life, but you have a true value for family. Although I am a few weeks behind, I like the fact that you are having success on TikTok.
It took me a year to get 1000 followers. So Congratulations.
Hi Atif,
So now you’re a high flyer!! Enjoy!! Your hard work is paying off and you will be able to do more for your family, particularly your dad, though not sure what more could be done. You being there is something you think he knows so maybe being able to be with him more when your affiliate marketing grows.
Great to hear that your TikTok account keeps growing! And
Congratulations to you and your wife and your new job opportunities.
All the best.
