Another unusually busy week, including me leaving my current job and continuing with family commitments. I have not been able to keep up with my affiliate marketing plan as much this week with TikTok (only managing one video per day) and still not doing my 2nd LIVE. It’s ok it will get done and family comes first. Dad is in a routine now and each day brings different challenges. I pray things get easy for him. Ameen.
I completed my last week at my current job with handing over work to people and my direct reports to other managers. On Wednesday they took me out for dinner at this fantastic steak restaurant in London. I was expecting about two or three people to come but was pleasantly surprised when 22 people came and in fact three or four of them travelled quite far. One colleague came from Glasgow in Scotland, another from Newcastle one from Leicester and one from Birmingham it was humbling and very touching that they travelled across the country just to see me off. Often you don’t appreciate your own value to others and I really was not expecting anything.
They also got me a card and gift voucher for an experience day where I can drive a supercar or take a helicopter ride or whatever I choose. Pretty awesome, thank you to everybody at work you guys are great. So now I have 10 days off and then I start my new job with the first week working from home, but then I’ll be flying off to Doha in Qatar for 12 days to meet the team and start to work. The routine will be one week in Doha, three weeks working from home in London on a rolling basis. I’m really excited for this opportunity and it’s a dream job for me. The beauty of this is that I’ll be able to carry on my affiliate marketing business while I’m there at the hotel and on the seven hour flight I’ll be able to write blogs etc.
On the TikTok front, views are growing and are now at 1,397 followers and 21.9k likes. Thank you all for being part of the journey. I lost a few followers then gained a few followers this week. I guess that’s just part of the journey.
Last time I spoke to you about the new app we have access to called SKOOL, that my mentor Dean Holland has given us access to. I went through the features and the pros and cons of the system. This week I conclude by going through the more specific features that we use in the group, how the point system works and how I’ve been using it.
Home Screen
The homepage gives you access to all the different menu items which I will go through below plus the main feed of the channel. There are pinned posts by Dean that are key messages and important announcements and trainings on how to use the system. As you scroll down, you’ll start to see, messages from all the different members of the community as they’ve been posted in order. It does have a look and feel a bit like Facebook but it’s more specific to us and our needs and has the full control and development of its future by Dean.
Community
This is where at the top you have the ability to write something and contribute to the group when writing a post you give it a title, write what you want to say and then you have the ability to do a voting pole, attach a file or a link or a video, you can add a gif too. This makes it incredibly useful for the group and then finally after you’ve written your post, you have to select a category that it sits in. These categories are called general, affiliate system, beginners advantage, wins, content and intros.
General is where we just have our daily discussions around different topics and basically whatever anybody wants to talk about. In the affiliate system category any specific issues questions ideas anything they want to share about Dean‘s amazing new affiliate system platform can be shared here. I’ll be talking about affiliate in more detail, in a miniseries so look out for that. You’ll hear the words beginners advantage quite a lot and in this area this is a specific group of people that joined Dean’s program and were in the right place at the right time and made the decision to join where we are at the development and forefront of the system before it goes public. And we are becoming experts within the methodology, systems, training and tools to help others build their businesses using this system. In the wins section we like to celebrate our successes and let the group know of any wins that we have had for example, we may have completed some training, we may have gone viral on a video, we may have finished our email sequence or anything else that we want to share. In content we discuss and share relevant stories and content that create discussion between the team and finally there’s intros which is a section where new people that join the group introduce themselves and give us a bit of a story of their life. What they’re doing why they’re doing it so we can get to know each other.
Classroom
Classroom is exactly that it’s a place to learn and there are some amazing courses that Dean presents himself for us. This area is split into two sections one is the beginners advantage training and the other is the reward scheme.
With the beginners advantage training, this is a section with six modules that cover the full course of the affiliate system and the beginners advantage and the mindset tools techniques that you need to be able to run the system and be successful. The modules are locked and released overtime giving us a chance to complete module by module. I’m on module one and working my way through it and it truly is amazing. It brings everything we’ve learnt so far together in definitive way of teaching. Throughout the coming months modules three, four, five and six will be unlocked and I’ll continue to work my way through them, truly valuable and amazing content for me to improve as an affiliate marketer learning from the best.
The second part of the classroom is the reward scheme so with the reward scheme you have to earn points. And the way you earn points is by posting relevant engaging content that the rest of the community read and like and comment. As you get likes you get more points. As you get more points, you get upgraded to the next level. When you go to the next level, you get a gift, this gift could be a short training session. It could be a book. It could be a masterclass. It could be secrets on how to boost your business. It could even be physical gifts and the last two which are incredible which I’m not gonna tell you about, and I’ll leave that surprise for you when you, join the beginners advantage yourself, which I will tell you about in the coming months as it still being worked on and finalised. And you’ll see for yourself how amazing they are.
Calendar
This is really handy? It’s a calendar built-in and all of our daily calls and weekly coaching sessions and Q&A sessions and certified partner quarterly events can all be contained in this one calendar. This way everything is in one place we won’t forget and the links to the zoom calls and meetings will all be available within that saving countless of emails going round and round, a useful feature
Members
Now we come to members this is me, us and the community. The community is growing here. Each of us are listed and shows when we joined, if we’re online and also a short description a tagline about us. My one says “ on a journey to becoming a full-time affiliate marketer”. Just a short description so when people see me they know what I’m here for. We also have longer intros on our story and what brought us to this journey? What we’re doing while we’re doing it etc. Also from here you can directly message any of the other members which is really great.
Leaderboards
Leaderboard shows where we all sit in terms of the number of points that we gathered and what level we’ve reached. There are nine levels and I’m currently just got to level five which is pretty good.
Each of the levels has a name level one is noob meaning a newbie, level two is starter, level three is contributor, level four is rising star, level five is a star, level six is superstar, level seven is master, level eight is grandmaster and level nine is called simply the chosen.
This is a great incentive and pathway for us to aspire to and follow, get the rewards and grow and build our knowledge and business. This also shows the leaderboard for the last seven days, 30 days and all time what this means is it’s how much contribution individuals have done and how many points they’ve gained so in the last seven days I am number five at the moment but if you look at the 30 day I’m number one and then all time I’m also number one. This is quite surprising to me because I wasn’t doing this to be number one I was just doing what I was doing on our Facebook group which was to post comments and tell people stuff. Share wins which is what I naturally do and what I’m used to so now that I’m doing this on the new platform it’s showing me number one at the moment which is great so I’ll have to continue that going forward.
Rules
The other thing that’s really important is the rules for the group because it’s a point based system is very easy when you have targets to just do things just to get points. Like posting every hour or just doing it tick a box. And I kind of suffered from this last week when one of my post was deleted. Our Facebook group often shared quotes that I see on the Internet that really resonate with me and I love sharing it with people. I was busy. I didn’t really think about it and I just shared this quote in the community section. After a day or so, I just got a message saying that the message had been deleted after moderation. And I was a bit upset and confused why. But having received the explanation it made sense and it did appear like I just posted something to get them points. Even though that wasn’t my intention. I didn’t explain the quote and why I like it and what it meant to me and what it can mean to you and putting any context around it. It just made it look like a cut and paste so I understand, why it was deleted. So it’s great that there are rules like this keeps the community at a consistent high standard.
So that’s my tour of the school app and how I’m using it and what we do with it. It really is great it’s lovely to know that you can communicate with any of the team immediately through a text message and I think the biggest benefit of all is that you can directly message Dean one-to-one any time and he will respond, that alone as a feature is more than worth the monthly subscription I pay for the affiliate system, the hosting of my blog website and everything else that comes with it.
Next week I’ll start talking to you more about the affiliate system itself. I’ve been working with it for the last seven months and it’s truly amazing. I’m gonna start introducing it to you section by section. This is currently only available to Dean’s coaching certified partners. At the moment it is not available to the general public, but I hear this may change soon in the future. The beauty of this system is that it’s not just about affiliate marketing in the making money online but this system can help you build a business for you to make money online in any niche. It could be gardening, cooking, Health and fitness, relationships, DIY, travelling, cars, travel anything. Imagine that.

Hi Atif – All I can say is that you are living life my friend! Not only are you living life you must be living at right as things are falling into place for you. Congratulations on the new job; it sounds awesome. As someone who struggles with learning new stuff, your appraisal of the Skool feature is much appreciated. All the features laid out and explained beautifully or Atifully. There, I just coined a new word!
