I have written this from the perspective of someone in the UK starting TikTok and an affiliate. However, I have written a section for if you are outside the UK with valuable information and links so read on and apply the same logic.
If you’re in the UK and ready to start earning money as a TikTok Shop Creator Affiliate, this blog is your step-by-step guide to getting registered, approved, and set up the right way.
There’s a lot of outdated or confusing info out there especially since the platform changes frequently. So I’m going to walk you through what’s working right now (as of 2025), and exactly what to expect from the moment you register.
This isn’t about selling your own products.
This is about becoming a creator who earns commission by promoting products from other sellers, without holding stock or managing customer service.
Let’s get you registered properly and fast.
Who This Is For
You should read this post if:
• You live in the UK
• You want to be a creator affiliate, not a seller
• You’re planning to earn by making TikTok videos that recommend products
• You’re ready to start now and want to avoid rookie mistakes
What You’ll Need Before You Register
Here’s what you should have ready before applying:
• A personal TikTok account (business accounts not required for affiliates)
• A clear profile photo (not a logo or blank image)
• A TikTok bio (something relevant to product promotion or lifestyle)
• At least one video posted (ideally related to a product or your niche)
• A UK bank account (for future payouts)
• Optional: A delivery address (in case you request product samples)
If your account looks brand new, has no content, or seems inactive, your application might get flagged or delayed. TikTok wants to see that you’re a real person and potential creator not just signing up to spam.
What About the USA and Other Countries?
If you’re not based in the UK, don’t worry TikTok Shop Creator Affiliate is also available in several other countries, and the process is very similar.
As of now, TikTok Shop Creator Affiliate programs are live in:
• United Kingdom
• United States
• Indonesia
• Malaysia
• Philippines
• Thailand
• Vietnam
Always check https://affiliate.tiktok.com TikTok updates this list frequently.
Registering in the USA (and What to Expect)
If you’re a U.S.-based creator, the steps are almost identical to the UK process:
1.Go to https://affiliate.tiktok.com
2.Log in with your personal TikTok account
3.Select “Creator” during sign-up
4.Fill in your details (including U.S. address and phone number)
5.Once inside, browse products that ship within the U.S.
Pro Tip: U.S. sellers often offer a wider product range and faster delivery. Use the product filter to sort by “Top commission” or “Hot selling.”
Other Countries: What You Need to Know
Each country has slightly different:
• Product availability (what’s trending locally)
• Language settings (default may switch to your local language)
• Shipping policies (some sellers ship regionally only)
• Currency for payouts
Things to check during registration:
• Make sure you are selecting the correct region or country code when registering
• Check that the banking/payments section matches your local currency and payment method
• Only choose products that are eligible for delivery in your region
Common Issues Outside the UK/US
• Some products won’t be available in your country (check the “Shipping Region” on the product listing)
• Your TikTok Shop tab may not activate right away this depends on rollout phase
• Some countries may require additional tax or business info before payout is activated
What to Do If Your Country Isn’t Supported Yet
If your country is not yet listed:
• You can still create content and prepare your account (bio, videos, etc.)
• Follow TikTok’s official announcements and creator blogs
• Get on the waitlist or apply as soon as your region goes live
• In the meantime, consider building a TikTok audience, so you’re ready to go with content once the program is open

No matter where you are UK, US, or beyond the goal is the same:
Build a content-driven affiliate business on TikTok
Create short, engaging videos
Recommend products you love
Earn commission daily, without managing stock
And now you know how to register properly no confusion, no mistakes, no wasted time.
Step-by-Step: How to Register as a TikTok Shop Creator in the UK
Step 1: Go to the Official Affiliate Portal
Visit: https://affiliate.tiktok.com
This is TikTok’s official Creator Affiliate platform, where you apply to join, manage products, track sales, and request payouts.
Step 2: Log In Using Your TikTok Account
• Use the same TikTok account you want to use for your creator journey
• You’ll be redirected back to the portal after login
Step 3: Choose “Creator” — Not Seller
TikTok may ask what type of user you are. Make sure you choose:
“I want to earn commission as a content creator.”
Do not choose the seller option that’s for people who want to sell physical products themselves.
Step 4: Fill Out Your Application
You’ll be asked for some basic information:
• Name
• Region (confirm “United Kingdom”)
• Your TikTok handle
• Email address
• Shipping address (optional used if a seller sends you a sample)
Tip: Keep your TikTok bio and profile image active and creator-friendly while you apply. You want to look like someone worth approving.
What Happens After You Apply?
1. You’ll Get Access to Creator Center Immediately (in most cases)
If your profile is active and doesn’t raise any red flags, you’ll get access straight away. Sometimes it may take 24–48 hours.
You’ll be taken to your Creator Center dashboard, where you can:
• Browse products to promote
• See commission rates
• Request samples
• Track clicks and commissions
If you’re not approved immediately, don’t panic. Go back to your TikTok profile, post one or two simple product-related videos, update your bio, and try again in 2–3 days.
Common Registration Mistakes to Avoid
These are the main reasons people get rejected, delayed, or limited during signup:
No video content on your profile
TikTok wants to see that you’re already creating. Just one quick video can make a difference.
Business account used (instead of personal)
Use a personal creator account for affiliate access business accounts are better suited to sellers and brands.
No bio or profile photo
Your account must look real. A blank profile = likely rejection.
Wrong option selected at registration
If you accidentally signed up as a seller, go to: https://seller.tiktokglobalshop.com/account/exit
Then reapply at the correct affiliate portal.
What You Can Expect After Registration
Once you’re inside Creator Center, here’s what you’ll see:
• Product Discovery Tab: Browse trending items, commissions, and categories
• Promotion Tab: Manage your active products and links
• Analytics Tab: See your clicks, conversions, commissions
• Sample Request Section: Request products to try and promote
• Your TikTok Shop Tab (if eligible): Add promoted products to your in-app shop
Note: Not Everyone Gets the TikTok Shop Tab Right Away
TikTok gradually rolls this out. If you don’t see it, don’t worry you can still:
• Add a product link in your video
• Use a link-in-bio tool (like Beacons, Stan Store, etc.)
Payment Setup
To receive commissions:
• Link a valid UK bank account (under “Payout Settings” in your dashboard)
• Payouts are typically monthly, or on request after reaching the minimum threshold (often £10–£20)
Make sure your name and bank info match, and double-check your details to avoid payout delays.
What I Wish I Knew When I Registered
1.TikTok reviews your creator potential – Even though it’s an “application,” you’re being judged on your content. Post at least 1 video before applying even a simple “product I love” video filmed on your phone.
2.Start with 1–2 products, not 10 – It’s tempting to apply for everything. Don’t. Focus creates results.
3.Approval doesn’t mean you’ll make money instantly – You still need to learn product research, filming, and content angles. But registering is a crucial first step that unlocks everything else.
Your Action Steps Today
1.Go to affiliate.tiktok.com
2.Sign up as a creator, not a seller
3.Make sure your TikTok account has:
• A real profile image
• A relevant bio
• At least 1 posted video
4.Once approved, go into the Creator Center and explore products

Hi Atif,
Appreciate the reminder. Unfortunately not available in Canada…yet 🙂
But the information you provided is greatly appreciated and spot on for when it does become available.
I think a lot of people should definitely take a look at this opportunity. A few dollars here and a few dollars there does add up and can create a nice sum over the month! Cheers!
Hi Atif – This is exactly the information that I needed to read. I have been having the hardest time getting into the affiliate program even though I have the appropriate number followers. There are a few additional steps in here I might see and try in case TikTok needs more information. I hope to get into the shop soon and I appreciate you’re sharing this knowledge… this is very value added!
Atif, Love your blogs as always you deliver!!! So clear and up-to-date 🙌 love how you broke down the UK vs US steps and the reminder to have at least one video up before applying. Progress over perfection, always!
